Open Sessions at
Trinity Hall Pub & Restaurant
3-6 p.m., 1st Saturdays
On the first Saturday of the month, we have an open session at Trinity
Hall Pub. A good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced players attend
with the emphasis on learning and playing Irish traditional music. It is
entirely instrumental meaning only tunes are played -- Irish jigs, reels,
hornpipes, polkas, slides, barn dances, airs, etc. Ken Fleming is the
host, and everyone who loves the music is welcomed to play or listen. The
best way to take full advantage of these sessions is to bring a tape or digital
recorder. The players will be happy to slow things down to a learners pace
if you ask, and then your recording will help you learn the tunes.

Home Sessions
1-6 p.m., 3rd Saturdays
For a little more informal gathering of players, we hold
home sessions at various players houses. This is a great opportunity for
the players to get to know each better while sharing tunes. It's BYOB, and
it's really set up for players only, meaning anyone who is learning or playing
traditional Irish music. All levels are welcomed. For information on
the next home session, send an email to kenfleming@irishtradmusic.org .
